The Alberta Bicycle Association Recreation and Transporation Committee will be hosting a Provincial Cycling Advocacy Meeting at the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame in Red Deer September 12, 2009.

Event information:

Introduction by the Alberta Bicycle Association and facilitated by the Government of Alberta Department of Culture and Community Spirit facilitators.

Purpose:

• Increase communication between provincial advocates and create a network of effective social connections.
• Start relationships between and amongst groups throughout the province of Alberta (i.e. begin to work collaboratively) and share scarce resources on issues.
• Define common issues.
• Develop a framework for moving forward on issues that affect commuters and recreational cyclists provincially.

Anyone involved in cycling from anywhere in Alberta

Alberta Sports Hall of Fame, Hwy 2, Red Deer

Time:10:00 – 4 pm (Lunch to be provided)
