The Alberta Bicycle Association Recreation and Transporation Committee will be hosting a Provincial Cycling Advocacy Meeting at the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame in Red Deer September 12, 2009.
Event information:
Introduction by the Alberta Bicycle Association and facilitated by the Government of Alberta Department of Culture and Community Spirit facilitators.
Purpose:
- Increase communication between provincial advocates and create a network of effective social connections.
- Start relationships between and amongst groups throughout the province of Alberta (i.e. begin to work collaboratively) and share scarce resources on issues.
- Define common issues.
- Develop a framework for moving forward on issues that affect commuters and recreational cyclists provincially.
