How do I purchase a membership?
ABA membership is your entry point to sanctioned cycling in Alberta, covering everything from casual community rides to competitive racing. Every membership includes sport accident and liability insurance, so you're covered from the moment you register.
Getting started takes two steps. First, register with an ABA-affiliated club — you can find the full list of clubs here. If you prefer to ride independently rather than through a club, a $15.00 independent rider fee applies.
Second, purchase your Community Membership or Racing License online through the ABA member portal. When registering, your club should appear in Zone 4 — if it doesn't, it may not be ABA-affiliated, and you should contact your club directly for clarification.
This section covers the membership types available, what each one includes, and how insurance works for members, clubs, and events.
