Pigeon Lake Road Race - Update
Three riders were involved in two separate crashes at the Provincial Championship Road Race at Pigeon Lake on Sunday, May 26. These riders received immediate attention and were transported to hospital:
- Bruce Carter (ERTC, Category 4) remains in hospital in Edmonton, where he is resting comfortably and recovering from a serious concussion and broken bones;
- Tristram Mallett (TCR SportLab, Category 5) is recovering in hospital in Edmonton with broken bones and other injuries, and is expected to be released this weekend;
- Clive Burke (Juventus, Category 4) was treated at hospital in Edmonton for a broken collarbone and released on Sunday.
The ABA wishes each of the injured riders a complete and rapid recovery. Also, a big thank-you is due emergency responders and others who attended to the two crashes.
