Cyclebetes cross-Canada Relay in support for Juvenile Diabetes Research
The Cyclebetes National Bike Relay is a relay across the country from
Nova Scotia to British Columbia, covering over 7,000 kms. This relay will
consist of core group of teams from each of the 7 provinces Cyclebetes will
cross. Each "National Provincial Team" will consist of 10 riders
made up of both adults and youths rotating on the tandem bicycle as travel
across their own province. As we pass through cities and towns we will be
holding Community Rides where the locals can join in and ride a part of the
journey with us!
The ride kicks-off in Halifax on August 14th, passing through
Alberta between August 29th –September 1st
There are three ways that cyclists of all ages and fitness levels to
join this ride:
1. Join the National relay team – teams of 10 riding
relay style on a tandem bicycle, 50km - 100km per day, over 3 days http://www.cyclebetes.com/join-the-relay.htm
2. Take part in our community ride - This is where all
the locals of all ages and all riding abilities can join in the ride, whether
it be for 2km or 200km. We have celebrations and family fun in the park for the

3. Get a group together and join and ride with the
