Attention all aspiring BMX athletes;

Applications are now being accepted for the 2014 BMX Provincial Team. The BMX Provincial Team represents the pinnacle of Alberta BMX racing, represented by Alberta's top young athletes.  

The Provincial Team for 2014 will consist of a maximum of 20 positions, consisting of the top male and female athletes aged 12 through Junior. Age classes consisting of 5 or less riders will be subject to coach or management approval. There will also be a possible 8 coach's selections, to a maximum team total of 20 members.

The Alberta Provincial Team presents a unique opportunity for top riders to advance as athletes while gaining exposure to high level racing from the local scene to the world's top stages. 

Team Manager Dale Tuchscherer reflects:
"The Provincial BMX Team Program has seen great transformation and growth over the past few years, much of which can be chalked up to trial and error. I am however, proud of the improvements made and the direction that we are moving into the future. With assistance from Kristen Kawa, coaches Nicoline and Garth Hebert, and the support of our many new sponsors, we have been able to greatly increase our athlete’s participation at key international races."

The team now looks forward to the 2014 season and all of the exciting events ahead.

Please note: All athletes requesting a team selection must submit a written request letter and resume of race results for the 2013 (at minimum) season to the Alberta Bicycle Association. Applications for the 2014 season will be accepted from October 1, 2013 to November 1, 2013. The final team will be named on or before December 30, 2013. All applications should be sent via email to:
