Welcome to the 2009 edition of Le Tour de Bowness. Le Tour is a three race omnium event presented by Bow Cycle and its partners Canada Olympic Park, Bowness Mainstreet Businesses, and The RCMP.  Saturday August 1st, we kick off le Tour with a Hill Climb up Canada Olympic Park, can the record of 3 minutes 19 seconds be broken. On Sunday August 2nd, we have a treat for everyone, the Criterium moves to Sunday afternoon/evening making the event easier for all to see. On Monday August 3rd, along with the RCMP (A Career Nowhere Near Ordinary), a circuit around the Bearspaw Golf area ensures great viewing and a challenging course. This year's event promises to be one of the most challenging road events on the Alberta calendar. The Criterium will be the Provincial Championships for all categories and the Road Race will be for the Junior Provincial Championships. Last year's event drew over 200 competitors from all over Western Canada. With a grand total of $7000.00 in cash and over $3000.00 in merchandise, this is a race to be contested.
